Free Live Webinar: Supporting LGBTQ+ Caregivers in the Brain Injury Community
Caregivers play a vital role in the lives of individuals living with brain injuries. However, the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ caregivers are often overlooked. This is your opportunity to learn, grow, and foster a more inclusive caregiving environment.
Julien Rougerie (he/him), Content Specialist/Instructor with Fondation Émergence’s Chosen Family program, will present this webinar. Julien Rougerie has been a content specialist and instructor in sexual and gender diversity for Fondation Émergence since 2017. Julien is specialized on topics such as LGBTQ+ seniors and caregivers, conversion therapy and more generally healthcare and social services access for sexual and gender minorities. He also gives LGBTQ+ training sessions for the Quebec Institute for Public Health (INSPQ).
In collaboration with Fondation Émergence’s Chosen Family program, this engaging free webinar will:
- Explore Sexual and Gender Diversity: Gain a deeper understanding of LGBTQ+ identities and the complexities of caregiving within these communities.
- Address Caregiving Challenges: Discover the unique struggles faced by LGBTQ+ caregivers in supporting individuals with brain injuries.
