Dear Member of the Brain Injury Community:

We, at the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA), are working diligently to keep up with this situation as it continues to evolve. We are seeing policy changes by the minute on an international scale, as well as here at home. The health and safety of our team, our members, our colleagues and the communities in which we operate is our greatest concern, as we continue to monitor public health developments associated with COVID-19.

We want you to know that we continue to attend to the needs of those living with acquired brain injuries and their families and assure you that we have continuity plans and protocols in place to allow us to operate with as little disruption as possible.

You should know that:

  • We can operate remotely and we will continue to respond to your needs.
  • We have the technology to remotely support our members and partners and to continue to provide information, education and support.
  • We are limiting business travel and are monitoring our team members’ personal travel and actively working to identify any health and safety risks.
  • We have implemented and are regularly updating our workplace policies for our team to minimize risk and address their concerns.

We will do our utmost to ensure you get the information or support you need in the most timely manner.

Go in good health.

Ruth Wilcock
Executive Director, OBIA
