OBIA’s Brain Injury Speaks Network completed a survey to explore the financial experiences of individuals living with brain injuries in Ontario.
The purpose of this survey is to highlight the significant gap in education and support systems regarding the financial well-being of individuals after a brain injury. Many people lack targeted resources and guidance to help manage financial challenges, such as changes in employment status, navigating disability benefits, and dealing with unexpected medical costs. This survey helps emphasize the impact that living with and managing a brain injury can have on individuals and their families. A deeper understanding of these financial realities will better equip both service providers and policymakers to support rehabilitation efforts and make informed decisions.
