The Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) is excited to announce that we are embarking on a journey to help improve return to work outcomes after concussion/ brain injury. Over the next three years, OBIA will work with employers and employees to facilitate the return to work process. This is a FREE SERVICE.

To support employers and survivors, they will have access to an Occupational Therapist and a Social Worker for up to six months.

To further help support this process, the project team will develop an innovative virtual training program—one for employers and one for survivors of concussion/brain injury (employee). This training will be accessible to Ontario-based employers and employees.

The combination of training and direct support for employers and survivors is a first-of-its-kind program in Ontario. This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities. We are thankful for the Government of Canada and their recognition of the challenges people with invisible disabilities face in securing and maintaining employment.
